What kind of child carriers and trailers can I use with a Blix bike?

There are three main types of child carriers: trailers, front child carriers, and rear child carriers.

There are options for each type that will work, however not all models from all brands are compatible.

Trailers: Most child (and cargo) trailers will work with Blix bikes. Trailers featuring an axle-mounted hitch will work, including current Burley and Thule/Chariot products. Trailers attaching to the chain-stay will work on all models, however, they may be less secure than axle-mounted trailers.

*Seatpost-mounted trailers and trail-a-bikes will NOT work as the rack/fender assembly will interfere.

Front Carriers: most front child carriers will work with Blix bikes, including Thule/Yepp, BoBike, iBert, and Wahoo.

*Front carriers are NOT compatible with Vika+

*Frame mounted child seats are NOT compatible with any Blix models due to the frame design.

Rear Carriers: Rear carriers are compatible with all Blix bikes. We recommend the Thule Yepp Nexxt Maxi & Thule Yepp Maxi seats in conjunction with Thule’s EasyFit adapter.
